The Land, Food, and Freedom Journal is a vital initiative of the
National Black Food and Justice Alliance (NBFJA) created to advance Black food sovereignty and land justice by amplifying the knowledge, stories, and strategies of Black farmers/producers, food and land justice activists, artists, and academics. Our peer-reviewed journal is accessible to a broad audience of those engaged at the intersection of Black food, land, art, and academia. Published under the guidance of Blackademics, the research arm of NBFJA, and supported by
The Agroecology Center, the journal serves as both an archive of resistance and a living document that nurtures radical Black imaginings of our future—our freedom dreams.
Your donation ensures the sustainability of this critical platform. Contributions directly support the production, design, and distribution of the journal, while providing honorariums for contributors—farmers, cultural workers, and visionaries—who share their expertise, stories, and dreams of liberation. Through this work, we reclaim our narratives, preserve Black agrarian knowledge, and collectively build toward self-determining food systems, liberated land, and just futures.
By investing in The Land, Food, and Freedom Journal, you join us in cultivating Black freedom dreams and making space for radical possibilities. All donations are tax-deductible, and every contribution, no matter the size, supports this work. Thank you for standing with us as we envision and create the world we deserve.
